A Story Over Mac & Ribs is dedicated to creating a secure, respectful, and enjoyable environment where connections can flourish. This Code of Conduct is our shared agreement for all attendees, staff, artists, and partners. By participating, you agree to uphold these standards.
We believe that a clear commitment to safety and respect is the foundation for genuine fun and connection. Thank you for helping us build a wonderful community with every event.
We do not tolerate harassment in any form, including but not limited to: unwelcome verbal comments, deliberate intimidation, stalking, inappropriate physical contact, unwelcome photography or recording, and sustained disruption of events.
Respect personal boundaries. Physical or romantic advances require clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing consent. "No" means no. "Maybe" means no. Only an explicit "Yes" means yes.
We welcome people of all races, ethnicities, genders, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, physical appearances, and backgrounds. Discriminatory language or behavior of any kind is prohibited.
Fenced Perimeter: The event takes place within a designated, fenced area of the park. Please remain within this area for the duration of the event for your safety and security.
Staff Identification: All official event staff and security will wear branded credentials. Please direct any questions or concerns to them.
For the safety of all, the following are not permitted:
Respectful Interaction: We encourage friendly conversation and new connections. If someone indicates they are not interested in chatting, wish to be left alone, or are stepping away, respect their decision gracefully.
The "Host" Ask for Help: If you feel uncomfortable at any time for any reason please locate a staff member immediately. We are here to help.
Photography & Social Media: Be mindful when taking photos or videos. Avoid including other attendees without their permission.
Responsible Service: Alcohol (if served) will be provided by licensed caterers. Staff are trained to serve responsibly.
Impaired Behavior: Attendees who appear excessively intoxicated or under the influence of illegal substances may be denied further service and asked to leave the event, without a refund, to ensure the safety of all.
Immediate Action: Anyone asked to stop any harassing or prohibited behavior is expected to comply immediately.
Consequences: Event organizers and security retain the right to take any action deemed appropriate to ensure a safe environment, including issuing a formal warning or removal from the event.
How to Report: If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct, please report it immediately to the nearest staff member or security personnel.
